KAHALA NUI

Kahala Nui has hired Wendy Takeshita Wong as assistant executive director, responsible for Kahala Nui's clinical areas, including assisted living, memory support and the comprehensive care unit.

Kahala Nui is a senior living retirement community featuring private apartment homes for independent living as well as a care center for assisted living, nursing and memory support.

KITV 4

KITV 4 has hired Cathy Im as digital sales manager. She is responsible for the station's digital sales efforts including www.KITV.com and Island Weather NOW Digital Channel 126. She was previously a senior account executive at KGMB 9.

HAWAIIAN AIRLINES

Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Avi Mannis as vice president of revenue management and schedule planning, responsible for managing seat inventory, planning flight schedules and establishing fare prices for the approximately 185 transpacific and interisland flights that Hawaiian offers daily.

TIKI'S GRILL & BAR

Tiki's Grill & Bar has appointed Wayne "Pancho" Gomes as general manager, responsible for overseeing daily operations and creating a strategic growth plan for the restaurant. Previously, Gomes was district manager at Starbuck's Coffee Hawaii where he was responsible for supervising, developing and supporting the management team for seven stores on O'ahu.

ALOHA UNITED WAY

Aloha United Way has announced three new hires:

Linda Masuda, Joe Salas and Keoni Williams.

Masuda is assistant vice president and early childhood development coordinator, responsible for implementing Aloha United Way's early childhood development programs and projects.

Salas is business development director for the campaign department, responsible for outreach resulting in new business accounts, development and implementation of Aloha United Way's solicitation programs and managing the new business campaign team.

Williams is marketing and communications coordinator, responsible for planning marketing programs and events and assisting with public relations and other communication initiatives.

AQUA HOTEL

Aqua Hotel has announced a number of appointments in its revenue and reservations departments.

Carolyn Watanabe is director of revenue strategy. She is responsible for overseeing both the reservations and revenue departments.

Laura Malone is reservations manager. She oversees the central reservations department in Waikiki. She has more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry.

May Cabauatan is a revenue manager. She is responsible for Hotel Renew, Aqua Coconut Waikiki, Aqua Continental and Aqua Waikiki Beachside.

Kay Nakayoshi is a revenue manager. She was previously Aqua's contract sales manager. She will service Aqua Bamboo & Spa, Aqua Aloha Surf & Spa, Aqua Palms & Spa and Aqua Island Colony.

The previous three managers report to Watanabe.

SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE

Realtor Michael Zimmerman has joined board of directors of the Hawai'i affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. He is a Realtor associate with RE/MAX Kai Lani in Kailua.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a national organization with an extensive network of volunteers who are the nation's leading catalyst in the fight against cancer.

They deliver the life-saving message of early detection.
