The Waikiki Aquarium's Ke Kani O Ke Kai summer concert series returns with five nights — all Thursdays — of music and food; aquarium exhibits will be open for viewing, too. The schedule: June 12, Kaukahi; June 26: Hapa; July 10: Jerry Santos and Jay Larrin; July 24: Eddie Kamae; Aug. 7: Willie K. Space is limited to 550 for each concert in this popular series.

EXPO: JUNE 13-15

The '80s are back, and in a big way. Dare we say "mega" way? The Steinlager Pure Mega '80s Music Festival presents three stages of hitmakers, including El Debarge, Klymaxx, Lisa Lisa, Exposé and Club Nouveau; Island bands Jook Joint,

eight0eight and Quadraphonix; and DJs G-Spot, Nocturna, Quiksilva and IKON. A surprise artist is to be announced, too.

EXHIBIT: JUNE 14-JULY 20

Lego artist Nathan Sawaya makes his Island debut this summer with "Brick Art," part of Pearlridge Center's annual presentation of family-focused, museum-quality exhibits. "Brick Art" features never-before-seen sculptures, created from standard Lego blocks. On Saturdays and Sundays, families can create their own Lego designs, too.

The Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning duo Hapa kicks off the Hawaii Kai Towne Center's 2008 Sunset Serenade Summer Concert Series. Other artists scheduled to perform are Jake Shimabukuro. right, July 19; and The Brothers Cazimero Aug. 9. The concert is sponsored in part by The Honolulu Advertiser.

The Society of Seven Las Vegas will showcase "American Idol" finalist Jasmine Trias, right, in a special six-week engagement. Trias earned rave reviews last year when she performed with the original Society of Seven, becoming the first "American Idol" star to have appeared in a production show on the Las Vegas strip.

MTV's Making The Band 4 tour stops in Honolulu, bringing Danity Kane, left, Day26 and Donnie Klang. Danity Kane's latest album "Welcome to the Dollhouse" and Day26's self-titled debut album scored back-to-back No. 1 debuts on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 album chart last month. This will be Day26's and Klang's first appearance in the Islands; Danity Kane performed at the Sports Carnival last year.

FESTIVAL: JULY 4-6

BayFest 2008 hits the windward side Fourth of July weekend for three days of entertainment, fireworks and fun. Headlining the annual event are country music artists Little Big Town and Rodney Atkins, alterna-rockers 3 Doors Down, right, Everclear and Live. There's also a lifestyle expo, military displays, carnival rides, games, boat rides around Coconut Island, food, fitness competitions and a Bathtub Regatta.
