'SOUL JAM' JULY 20

Tickets are on sale for another blast from the past, "The Best of the '70s Soul Jam," happening at 7 p.m. July 20 at the Blaisdell Arena.

Oldies-but-goodies groups The Stylistics, The Three Degrees and The Chi-Lites will perform.

FLAVORS OF HONOLULU

Flavors of Honolulu, a food-and-entertainment benefit (formerly known as Taste of Honolulu) for the nonprofit Abilities Unlimited, is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. June 27, noon to 10 p.m. June 28 and noon to 6 p.m. June 29 on the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center Grounds.

Participating restaurants include Cheeseburger in Waikiki, Da Spot, Down to Earth, India Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Señor Frog's, Tudo De Bom and Ichiriki.

Admission is $5 general, $2.50 military (free on June 29 as part of Military Appreciation Day) and seniors 65 and older, free for keiki 12 and younger.
