Free homeowner seminars on termite control

Advertiser Staff

Homeowners can get tips on how to prevent and control termite infestations at three free public information seminars on O'ahu this summer.

The sessions will be conducted by the Termite Project of the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.

The seminars will provide information about these wood-eating insects, including termite identification and biology.

Julian Yates will offer tips on how to prevent and control termites.

Participants can ask questions about termites and their homes.

Hawai'i homeowners and businesses spend more than $100 million annually to control and repair termite damage, UH experts said.
