A 38-year-old Puna man has been charged with meth trafficking after vice officers said they found crystal methamphetamine and cash on his property.

Officers charged Bill Shane Vierra with first-degree meth trafficking and other related drug counts. He was released after posting $12,500 bail.

Police had received complaints from neighbors over the last several months about drug dealing from a home on 40th Avenue in the Orchidland subdivision of Puna.

Officers executed a search warrant and said they recovered approximately four ounces of crystal methamphetamine and 41.5 grams of dried marijuana Wednesday. They also seized $2,600 in cash.

Four other suspects were released pending further investigation.
