MLP's David Cole to ring NYSE closing bell Wednesday

David Cole, president and chief executive officer of Maui Land & Pineapple Company Inc will ring the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday to mark the recent transfer of the company's stock listing to the NYSE from the American Stock Exchange.

Maui Land & Pineapple's stock began trading on the NYSE April 2. Wednesday's ceremony was scheduled to coincide with Kamehameha Day celebrations in Hawaii.

Maui Land & Pine, a business dating to 1909, has been publicly owned since 1969 when shares of its stock were listed on the AMEX. The company has a market capitalization of about $224 million and 8.2 million shares outstanding. Its shares closed down 55 cents yesterday at $27.35.
