 More closures on H-1 in Kapolei-Kunia, Waipahu

West O'ahu motorists will see nighttime and daytime closures of H-1 Freeway this week as a result of two ongoing projects.

There will be multiple lane closures between the Makakilo and Kunia Interchanges:

  • Today, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., one-lane closures westbound.

  • From 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Thursday, two-lane closures westbound.

    The closures there are tied to the North-South Road interchange project.

    There will also be resurfacing through the week between the Naval Access Road overpass and the Waipahu/Pearl City off-ramp eastbound for lane striping:

  • Through tomorrow, from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., two left-most lanes eastbound.

  • Tomorrow through Friday, 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., two right-most lanes eastbound.

    Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
