Silent march on June 17 for Good Samaritan

Advertiser Staff

A silent march is planned for June 17 to honor the memory of Steven Wilcox, 19, killed Sunday morning when trying to help a woman being beaten in a Kaneohe parking lot.

State Rep. John Mizuno, D-30th (Kamehameha Heights, Kalihi Valley, Fort Shafter), said he is organizing the march to honor Wilcox and to "recognize that another life was silenced by domestic violence."

The march is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the state Capitol.

Police yesterday charged Glenn J.K. Keohokapu, 35, with second degree murder in the death of Wilcox.
