SMASH MOUTH AUG. 2

Tickets go on sale Saturday for an Aug. 2 concert by multi-platinum-selling band Smash Mouth at the Waikiki Shell.

The show begins at 7 p.m. with opener Go Jimmy Go; Smash Mouth is scheduled from 7:30 p.m.

Tickets — $30 lawn ($25 for military), $45 terrace, $55 pit — will be available at Ticketmaster outlets. 877-750-4400, www.ticketmaster.com.

'ROCKY HORROR' AT MVT

"Rocky Horror Show," the cult rock 'n' roll musical that spoofs science-fiction and horror films, is the season finale at Manoa Valley Theatre.

Tony Young is the wily Dr. Frank N Furter, whose latest experiment at his castle is interrupted by the arrival of the naive couple Brad and Janet (Mike Dupre and Sophia Nelson). Jerry Tracy directs.

The theater will be in a cabaret format, with cocktail service available.

"Rocky" premieres at 7:30 p.m. June 25, repeating at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 4 p.m. Sundays through July 13. Tickets are $35 general, $30 seniors and military, $20 for those 25 and younger. Each ticket includes a drink.
