It's all about eco-friendly shopping at Eco-Chic Wahine, an event hosted by Social Wahines, Pacific Edge magazine and Fashionista's Market, and sponsored by Tahiti Pearl Market. Attendees will be able to shop such eco-conscious vendors as Kanu Hawai'i, Lei Saisons, Alliway, Styrophobia, Organik Clothing, Roketo Designs and more.

The event will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 25, just above The Wedding Cafe in the Ward Warehouse conference rooms on the second floor.

Complimentary dessert and iced tea will be served. RSVP online at www.socialwahines.com/rsvp. The cost to attend is $10 per person.

Social Wahines is a social and business network for young professional women living and working in Hawai'i. EYEWEAR TRUNK SHOW

It seems every designer on the planet is now behind a line of eyewear: Armani, Dior, Gucci, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade and Hugo Boss, to name a few.

Now there's a chance to see the latest styles in sunglass frames, just in time for summer. Eyewear Kahala is holding a trunk show of designer frames from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow. Representatives from the lines will be on hand to help shoppers choose the most flattering styles to frame their faces. There will also be in-store specials on selected brands. It's free and open to the public; no reservations required. Information: 737-7973.

ST. JOHN PREPPED FOR FALL

St. John is a classic, wearable line that has proven its popularity among Island women who lunch ... and who attend black-tie affairs. In a departure from its customary black and winter white palette, St. John is showing royal blue and red this summer. So what will it be for fall? Find out at the pre-fall collection event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow. Meet representative Lesley Keys, who will be available for consultations. It's in the Neiman Marcus Ala Moana St. John boutique, Level 2. No appointment required.

DSW LAUNCHES WEB SITE

On top of the shopping lists of many Islanders traveling to the Mainland: DSW Shoes, that bastion of bargains for the Carrie Bradshaw in all of us. Now Hawai'i women have another reason to kick up their heels: DSW has finally launched its e-commerce site: www.DSW.com.

There are sandals, pumps, flats, boots and athletic footwear — more than 2,000 styles from 175 well-known brands, at significant value.

In researching how to best present the site, DSW went to its most loyal customers, active members of its Rewards program, for ideas. Inspired by their vision, DSW.com designed the site to show the shoes in high-definition, with 360-degree views, including the top and bottom. In addition, the site inspires conversations among shoe lovers through mini-blogs and product ratings. Additional interactive features will be introduced to the site in the coming months.

For a limited time, DSW Rewards members, even those who live in Hawai'i, will receive free shipping on all online orders.
