PUHI – A blessing was held Thursday to mark the beginning of phase two of Self-Help Housing Corporation of Hawaii's Puhi project on Kauai.

Fourteen homes will be built in this phase using a team self-help method, where the prospective homeowners form teams that work together and build their homes from the ground up.

The third and final phase is scheduled to start later this year, which will bring the total number of units in the Puhi self-help project to 41.
