INVASIVE GINGER REMOVAL: Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park ranger Jason Zimmer will lead a work project to remove non-native kahili ginger along the Crater Rim Trail, 9 a.m. June 28. Volunteers should meet at the Kilauea Visitor Center.

CONSERVATION CONFERENCE: Volunteers needed for 2008 Hawai'i Conservation Conference, July 29-31. Seeking volunteer coordinator and help with audio-visual, exhibits, film festival, registration and souvenir sales; volunteer orientation July 28. Contact Mariza Silva at silvam@hawaii.edu or 587-0061.

WAIMEA VALLEY GREETER: Volunteer greeters are sought to work one day a week for 2 1/2 hours at O'ahu's Waimea Valley. Information: Kelly Perry, 638-7766, ext. 203.

OFFICE HELP FOR PALMYRA: A few hours of office work a week in Honolulu can help The Nature Conservancy's program at Palmyra. Volunteers should be comfortable working with spreadsheets and communicating with the Palmyra field station staff over the phone. Information: palmyra_admin@tnc.org.

WEED & POT CLUB: Maui Nui Botanical Garden's Weed & Pot Club meets from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesdays at 150 Kanaloa Ave. in Kahului to weed, rake, trim or transplant nursery plants, and perform other beautification and maintenance work.
