TheBus will be detouring some routs along Kalakaua Avenue today for the Hibiscus Half Marathon.

The run is sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma society and will force schedule changes from 5:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. this morning to accommodate the 800 or so participants.

TheBus will travel the regular route from Kalakaua Avenue fronting the Kapiolani Park tennis courts, proceed ewa on Kalakaua, right on Monsarrat, right on Paki, left on Diamond Head Rd, right on 18th, right on Kilauea, right on Waialae onto Kalanianaole, turnaround at West Hind Drive (Aina Haina), returning ewa on Kalanianaole onto eastbound access ramp to Waialae Ave, left on Kealaolu, right on Kahala, onto Diamond Head Rd, right on Paki, left on Kalakaua to the Marathon Finish Line, near the Kapiolani Park Bandstand.

Buses on the following routes will detour from approximately 5:45 a.m. to approximately 9 a.m. , or when directed by HPD or OTS.

1. All bus stops along the detour routes will be serviced unless otherwise noted below.

2. The eastbound makai curb lane of Kalanianaole Highway between the Waialae Avenue access ramp and West Hind Drive will be coned off for runners.

Route 1, Kaimuki-Kalihi

Eastbound: No detour; however, refer to Note #2 above concerning servicing bus stops on Kalanianaole Hwy between Waialae Ave access ramp and West Hind Drive from outside the coned-off lane.

Westbound: No detour.

Route 2, Waikiki-School-Middle

Route 19, Waikiki-Airport-Hickam

Route 4, Nuuanu-Punahou

Route 20, Waikiki-Pearlridge

Route 8, Waikiki-Ala Moana

Route 42, Ewa Beach-Waikiki

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to the temporary bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu, DETOUR left on Kapahulu, and right on Leahi to the temporary terminus at Leahi/Lakimau (Paki Park).

Westbound: From the temporary terminus at Paki Park, TheBus will DETOUR kokohead on Leahi, right on Monsarrat, right on Paki, left on Kapahulu, right on Kuhio, and then resume the regular route.

Route 14, St. Louis-Kahala-Maunalani

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalakaua/Kapahulu, DETOUR left on Kalakaua, left on Monsarrat onto Diamond head Road , left on 18th, right on Kilauea , left on Pahoa, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound: No detour.

Route 24, Aina Haina-Ala Moana

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to the temporary bus stop at Kuhio/Kapahulu, DETOUR left on Kapahulu, right on Leahi, left on Monsarrat, and then resume regular route. Bus stops on 18th Avenue , Kilauea Avenue , and Kalanianaole Highway outside of the coned off curb lane will be serviced.

Westbound: No detour.

Route 203, Kalihi Via School Street Express
