Record low temperature mark tied in Hilo

If you were in or near Hilo early Saturday morning and it felt a little cool outside it was because a record low temperature was tied, the National Weather Service said.

The mercury at the usually balmy Hilo International Airport dipped to 64 degrees, which tied a record set in 1999, according to the Weather Service.
