March to honor latest domestic violence victim

Advertiser Staff

State Rep. John Mizuno and family members of the late Steven Wilcox will hold a silent march beginning at 5:30 p.m. today near the Father Damien statue at the State Capitol Building to recognize that another life has been lost to domestic violence, march organizers said.

Wilcox, 19, was allegedly stabbed by Glenn Keohokapu Jr. after intervening in a dispute between Keohokapu and his wife outside a Kane'ohe bar June 8.

Those taking part in the march will travel down Beretania Street. Family and friends will sing "Amazing Grace"and "Hoonani Ka Makua Mau" following the march in memory of Wilcox.
