Weather: Trade winds due to return today

A strengthening high pressure are north of the state will help boost the trade winds today, the National Weather Service said.

The trades are expected to reach moderate to locally strong levels by tomorrow and to continue into next week, bringing about the normal trade wind weather pattern.

Here's how the next few days are shaping up:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 85. East wind around 14 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 11 mph.

Thursday: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
