Hickam Air Force Base's top leadership will be transferred from Col. J.J. Torres to Col. Giovanni K. Tuck in a change of command ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday at the base.

Tuck, who is taking over the 15th Airlift Wing at Hickam, is coming from Travis Air Force Base, Calif., where he served at the vice wing commander for the 60th Air Mobility Wing.

Tuck is a command pilot with more than 4,800 hours in the KC-10, KC-135R/T and the C-17A aircraft, the Air Force said.

As the vice commander at Travis, he assisted the wing commander in providing all operations and support activities associated with missions to include the C-5, KC-10 and C-17 aircraft.

Torres is being reassigned to the U.S. Air Forces Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
