Advertiser Staff

Two Hawaiian studies students have won Makaha Sons Foundation scholarships to continue their postgraduate work.

Dayne P. Kealanahele-Querubin of Waipahu High School and Tatum Ke'ala Burke of Kamehameha Schools are the 2008 recipients of the awards that were created in 2004.

The $1,400 scholarships were presented at the music group's recent "Take a Walk in the Country 6" concert at The Waterfront at Aloha Tower Marketplace.
