The community is invited to celebrate the launch of the Hui Maunalua Historic Website at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Koko Head District Park.

Hui Maunalua members are residents of East Honolulu whose mission includes collecting stories about the area from older members of the community and sharing them through the cultural Web site (www.huimaunalua.net). The site will also offer information about cultural and historical sites from 'Aina Haina to Waimanalo.

The site was created by Annmarie Kirk, a member of Liveable Hawai'i Kai Hui, a community organization in Hawai'i Kai.
