Movies, laughter session tomorrow at UH-Manoa

"Making Trouble," which tells the stories of six great comic women, screens at 5 p.m. tomorrow at the University of Hawai'i's Spalding Auditorium as part of the UH Summer Cinema Series.

The film profiles Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wendy Wasserstein through archival footage. A laughter therapy session with Yordana Mir precedes the screening.

Admission is $5 general, $3 UH students and staff. 223-0130.

Also at the UH-Manoa campus: The Kids First! Film Festival continues at the Art Auditorium with "Alice Upside Down," about a girl whose life turns topsy-turvy after her widowed dad moves the family to a new town.

It screens at 3 p.m. tomorrow. It's free, aimed at kids 8 to 12 years old.
