NANAKULI — Residents were stunned yesterday by an early-morning police raid and the arrest of a longtime neighbor on suspicion of sexually assaulting a boy who had worked for him at a portable toilet rental company.

Police said they believe there could be more victims, and have asked anyone with information to contact HPD.

Henry Moisa, 56, was arrested at 87-2130 Farrington Highway at 4:10 a.m. yesterday, police said. He was charged with four counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of promoting pornography of minors. Police said they found photographs of other young boys in Moisa's house.

Moisa's bail was set at $250,000. He is scheduled to appear in District Court on Monday.

"Yes, I am shocked," said Caroline Makakona, manager of the Fastop convenience shop, located next to Moisa's home between Farrington Highway and Helelua Place. "Because I see a lot of kids who work over there. He came in here every day with his workers. He'd get kids to work for him. I think the neighbor kids, or their friends.

"He get plenty boys and girls who worked for him."

Police said they acted on a tip from the 15-year-old boy's family.

A police report said Moisa allegedly assaulted the boy on at least four occasions from May 31, 2007, to May 5, 2008. The first assault occurred when Moisa interviewed the boy, who wanted to work at his toilet rental business. Other assaults took place at Bellows Field Beach Park, Camp Mokule'ia and at Moisa's home, police said.

In the assault at Moisa's residence, Moisa had sex with the boy as he showed a "pornographic performance played on the television," the police report said.

The victim later identified Moisa in a photographic lineup, the report said.

Donald Jose, whose home is adjacent to Moisa's house, expressed shock at the news.

"He seemed like a nice guy," Jose said. "He keeps to himself. Tells me hi. It's pretty much a shock. He always had young kids working for him. I just figured he was helping the neighborhood kids out. I thought he was a good man, you know, helping out the kids, giving them money."

Patricia La'a, 48, who lives directly across from Moisa's new two-story house, said she has cleaned for him since the place was completed in December.

La'a was particularly startled to hear about the alleged photos of young boys. She said if she had ever found photographs of young boys she would have contacted authorities immediately.

La'a said two of her three daughters, ages 12 and 13, have worked for Moisa. She said they both told her that Moisa had never done anything inappropriate during the time they had worked for him.

Police said Moisa operates A's Party Portable Toilet Rental and other young boys worked for him at the business.

When police with a warrant searched Moisa's residence at 87-2148A Farrington Highway yesterday, they found the photos of young boys, police Sgt. Kim Buffett said at HPD headquarters.

There were no names on the photos, she said.

Moisa employed "a lot of teenage boys," Buffett said. "Because of this and what they found in the residence we believe there may be more victims, and hope people contact us."

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the HPD Criminal Investigation Division at 529-3115, Crimestoppers at 955-8300 or "CRIME" on a cell phone.
