Fallen poles close Hobron Lane in Waikiki

Advertiser Staff

Police today closed a section of Hobron Lane near Villa on Eaton Square in Waikiki to traffic because of two fallen utility poles.

Hawaiian Electric Co. spokeswoman Sharon Higa said 124 customers are without power. HECO is investigating what caused the poles to fall at 3:35 p.m., but lines on the roadway are not energized, Higa said.

Sections of Hobron Lane, Ena Road and Lipe'epe'e Street are closed.
