Burglary reported on King Street

Advertiser Staff

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred early this morning in multiple businesses at 1831 S. King St.

The burglars broke through the lock on the door of AWR Holdings, LLC., owned by restaurateur Alan Wong, and stole the company's safe, Alan Wong said this morning.

Wong, who was at the scene with the project manager of AWR Holdings, LLC., said the company doesn't keep much cash in the safe the burglars stole.

Nobody was in the offices when they were burglarized.

The complex that houses Wong's holding company also houses an optometrist business on the second floor near Wong's company. The Blue Ribbon Bar & Grill is on the main floor, but doesn't appear to have been burglarized.

The burglary was reported at about 4 a.m.
