Baptiste remembered

 •  Baptiste remembered as 'man of heart'
 •  For him, it was 'always ... community first'
 •  Baptiste timeline

Here are some of the comments and condolences posted last night at HonoluluAdvertiser.com about the death of Kaua'i Mayor Bryan Baptiste:

"I may reside on the other end of the political spectrum from Mayor Baptiste, but every time I met him personally, he was a very likeable gentleman. Whether I personally agreed with him or not, I do believe that Bryan Baptiste always did what he believed was best for the island of Kaua'i. There is no doubt about that. Good luck on the next part of your journey, Mr. Mayor."

"Mayor Bryan Baptiste put the people before himself. He touched many people's lives. He always did what he thought was right. Although we did not always agree on things, I respect him, since he did what he thought the people of Kaua'i wanted.

Aloha, Bryan."
