Imua Family Services receives $10,000 grant

The Rev. Takie Okumura Family Fund awarded a $10,000 grant to Imua Family Services to support therapeutic services for children with special needs and their families.

The award will benefit the agency's Early Childhood Development Program for children ages 3 to 5 with developmental difficulties. The three-year pilot program provides therapeutic intervention services for children who fall outside the scope of the Department of Education's special education services.

Imua Family Services, located in the J. Walter Cameron Center, serves more than 2,600 children and their families annually.
