Jordon Dizon, a Waimea High graduate from Kaua'i who was a star linebacker at the University of Colorado, was arrested on April 20 and cited for driving under the influence, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and failure to provide proof of insurance, the Boulder (Colo.) Camera reported.

According to a police report cited in the newspaper's story, Dizon's blood-alcohol level was 0.097, above the legal limit of 0.08.

Dizon was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the draft six days after the arrest.

Additionally, the newspaper reported that Kai Maiava, a Baldwin High alum, and former sophomore fullback at Colorado, was ticketed June 19 for underage possession and consumption of alcohol.

TE SIGNS EXTENSION

The San Francisco 49ers signed tight end Delanie Walker to a three-year contract extension, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Walker, who originally received $102,000 to sign as a sixth-round draft pick in 2006, received a deal worth $6 million this offseason, which included a $1.8 million signing bonus. He is now signed through the 2012 season.

Walker has just 23 career receptions in 23 NFL games. Last season, he caught 21 passes for 174 yards and one touchdown.

RAIDERS

ARREST IN WALKER CASE

One man was arrested and a second was sought yesterday in a robbery and beating that left NFL player Javon Walker unconscious on a side street after a long night of partying at Las Vegas nightclubs, police said.

Arfat Fadel, 30, of Las Vegas, was accused of multiple felonies, including kidnapping, robbery, battery and conspiracy in a June 16 robbery that police Lt. Clinton Nichols said netted some $3,000 in cash from Walker and $100,000 worth of his jewelry. The loot has not been recovered, he said.
