The Buddhist Study Center, 1436 University Ave., is hosting an evening summer session, "Coping with Life and Death, Buddhist Style," 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 8.

Carl Becker, a professor of religion and ethics at Kyoto University graduate school in Japan, will lead the session.

Cost is $40 for the 10 days (includes the final night dinner and materials). A day rate of $5 is also available.
