Weather: Light rain due to arrive by Monday

Weak trade winds will continue to diminish through the weekend resulting in local land and sea breezes by Monday, the National Weather Service said.

Rainfall will be light overall, but the heaviest showers will shift from windward to lee slopes in the afternoon, according to the forecast.

Light rain could be falling over much of the state from Monday night through Wednesday.

Here's how the weekend is shaping up:

Tonight...Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 78. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday...Mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning...then scattered showers in the afternoon. Highs 82 to 88. East winds around 10 mph shifting to the south in the afternoon. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Saturday Night...Partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 77. North winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday...Mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 82 to 87. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
