KANE'OHE
Vendors, nonprofits can sign up for ho'olaule'a

The eighth annual Windward Ho'olaule'a is accepting applications from crafts and food vendors.

The ho'olaule'a, themed Nurturing the Next Generation, will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 27 at Windward Community College.

The free family-friendly event features entertainment, ethnic food, crafts, keiki games, a white elephant and used book sale, community displays, art and the high-tech Imaginarium.

Reserve a craft booth by Aug. 15 and the fee is $120. After that date, it's $150 for a 10-foot by 10-foot tent with lights. Call Haunani Naumu Revuelto at 589-6055 for details or e-mail her at Hanans9808@aol.com.

Early reservations for food booths are $400, but after Aug. 15 will be $450, which includes electricity and water access; contact Sandie Carmichael at 235-7301 or sandie@hawaii.edu.

Not-for-profit groups can set up booths for a $25 donation and political candidates can reserve space for $400 by contacting Shirley Hasenyager at shirleyinhi@aol.com or 262-5069 by Sept. 5.
