Not far from the big book sale is Flavors of Honolulu, the food/wine/entertainment festival, continuing at the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center grounds.

Fourteen restaurants and caterers offer sample-sized fare, for purchase with scrip. Flavors, a benefit for the nonprofit Abilities Unlimited, is in its second year, having taken over what was once Taste of Honolulu.

New this year: much more seating for Flavors attendees.

Hours are from noon to 10 p.m. today, noon to 6 p.m. tomorrow. Admission is $5 general; $2.50 military and those 65 and older; free for kids 12 and younger. And because Abilities Unlimited is celebrating its 25th year, admission is free for those who are 25 years old (born in 1983; proof required), or married for 25 years (in 1983; proof required). Also, admission is free for military tomorrow only. 532-2100, www.FlavorsOfHonolulu.org.
