Surf rising along northern shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along north-facing shores will be 2 feet or less this afternoon, but by tonight the surf should increase to 3 to 6 feet because of a north northwest swell arriving late today, the National Weather Service said.

The swell should peak Monday well below advisory levels, forecasters said.

Good surf can also be found along south shores, with 2 to 4 footers the norm and occassional higher sets today.

Surf along east shores will be 1 to 3 feet, while surf along west shores will be 1 to 3 feet today and rise to 2 to 4 feet tonight.
