No significant swells this week

The 4th of July will come and go with little fireworks and fanfare for surfers.

Surf along south, west and east shores will lower to 1 to 3 feet today, and the National Weather Service forecast calls for no significant swells through Saturday.

The best surf will be along north-facing shores, where 3 to 5 footers are expected today.

Mostly this week, it will be more small swells that are well below the advisory levels.

A small north-northwest swell will build through Monday night and linger into Wednesday. A small north-northeast swell is expected Wednesday night and Thursday. A tiny northwest swell is possible by next weekend.
