Advertiser Staff

Tickets have sold out for this weekend's East-West Center performances by the ensemble of dancers and musicians from the Thai government's Department of Fine Arts. Tickets are no longer available for either of the two performances, scheduled for Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Those who wish to see the ensemble perform can still do so at the free public dedication ceremony for the Royal Sala Thai, or Thai Pavilion, at the East-West Center at 10:30 a.m today. The dancers and musicians will be offering a brief performance during the ceremony, which will be presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand.

The dedication ceremony is open to the public and will take place at 10:30 a.m. today, adjacent to Imin Center-Jefferson Hall, 1777 East-West Road. Admission is free, and parking is $3, payable at the parking kiosk as you enter the UH campus. For more information, call 808-944-7177, or visit http://www.eastwestcenter.org/events.
