City working on seven sewer projects during March

The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Environmental Services will be working on seven sewer projects during March that may impact roadways and traffic on Oahu.

The projects are:

• Halona Street Relief Sewer - Installation of a new sewer line and manholes along Olomea Street and Kohou Street, from Olomea Street to North King Street.

• Sand Island Basin Miscellaneous Sewer Improvements - Installation of cured-in-place pipes within Ala Moana Beach Park, on Nimitz Highway near Lagoon Drive and on Pali Highway near the Hawaii Baptist Academy.

• Waipahu Street/Plantation Village Sewer Reconstruction - Installation of a new gravity sewer line near Plantation Village. Work on Waipahu Street is expected to be completed next month.

• Wanaao Road/Keolu Drive Reconstruction Sewer - Installation of a gravity sewer line along Wanaao Road between Palawiki and Papalani streets.

• Kailua Road Sewers Improvement District No. 276 - Installation of a new 8-inch sewer line along Kailua Road between Hahani Street and Aoloa Road).

• St. Louis Heights Sewer Rehabilitation - Installation of cured-in-place pipes along roads and easements, rehabilitation of sewer laterals and manhole rehabilitation in the areas along Peter Street, between Noah Street and Ruth Street.

• Ilimalia Loop/Mokapu Boulevard Sewer Rehabilitation - Installation of cured-in-place pipes and sewer manhole rehabilitation on Ilimalia Loop and along Mokapu Boulevard between Ililani Street and Kalaheo Avenue.
