Money released for A/C repairs at Moiliili Library

HONOLULU – Gov. Linda Lingle has released $400,000 in design and construction funds to replace the air-conditioning chiller and chilled water pump at McCully-Mo'ili'ili Public Library and complete related site, infrastructure and building improvements.

The current 15-year-old air-conditioning system is inefficient and requires frequent repairs, according to a news release from the governor's office. The new system will provide improved energy efficiency and help to reduce the library's operating costs, the release said.

Design is scheduled to begin this month and be completed in August 2008. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2009 and be completed in August 2009.
