Diamond Head road work begins today

Advertiser Staff

The city begins a road repair and repaving project today on Diamond Head Road, between Trousseau Street and Makapu'u Avenue.

This heavily traveled stretch of Diamond Head road connects Kapi'olani Community College with busy Monsarrat Avenue and Waikiki.

The work is expected to last two weeks, and will ensure that Diamond Head Road is smooth and safe.

The city's contractor for the job is Road Builders Inc., and the job is expected to cost $275,000.

To further increase safety, drivers may report significant potholes in city roads by calling the pothole hot line, 768-7777.
