Surf starting to rise along north, west shores

A moderate northwest swell will be peaking tonight below the advisory level before subsiding, the National Weather Service said.

A larger northwest swell arriving tomorrow will most likely reach advisory levels along north and west shores.

Today, surf along north facing shores will be 2 to 5 feet overnight, rising to 8 to 12 feet; surf along west facing shores will be 5 to 8 feet; and surf along south and east shores will be 1 to 3 feet.
