Advertiser Staff

Smoke from a fire about three-quarters of a mile up the road from Leihoku Elementary School caused brief respiratory problems for three students who were treated by Emergency Services and released at the school this morning.

Honolulu Fire Department Captain Terry Seelig said a fire crew located the agricultural fire on Halona Road. School officials reported concerns over the smoke at about 7:30 a.m. and firefighters had it extinguished before 8 a.m.
