Dry weather likely for next few days in Hawaii

Advertiser Staff

Dry and stable weather conditions should continue for several days across the state as a high-pressure system dominates the region, the National Weather Service said.

Light trade winds will give way to local sea breezes in the afternoon and increasing clouds, forecasters said.

Skies at night will be mostly clear with some clouds lingering over windward and mauka areas.

Here's a closer look at how the next few days are shaping up:

Today: Isolated showers after 10 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind around 11 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 10 percent.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 65. East wind between 8 and 10 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. East wind around 11 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65. East wind around 10 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 81. East wind between 11 and 14 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67. East wind between 7 and 10 mph.
