Halawa exit to close overnight this weekend

Advertiser Staff

HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises O'ahu motorists that the H-201 Moanalua Freeway west-bound Halawa/Stadium/Camp Smith off-ramp will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday for concrete pavement resurfacing.

The 21-hour-long closure will be necessary to allow the new concrete lane surface adequate time to properly cure. During this time, the H-3 East/Kane'ohe off-ramp will remain open.

Halawa-bound motorists on the Moanalua Freeway are advised to continue past the ramp closure, proceed onto Moanalua Road and use Kaimakani Street as an alternate route to Ulune Street and the Halawa area.
