Pearl City man facing enticement charge

Advertiser Staff

Charges are pending against a 23-year-old Pearl City man arrested in Manoa yesterday on suspicion of using the Internet to lure a minor into a sexual encounter.

Hawai'i Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force agents arrested the man in the parking lot of the University of Hawai'i's Institute of Astronomy, at 2680 Woodlawn Drive, at 3:45 p.m. The suspect allegedly set up the meeting location with a task force investigator posing as a 13-year-old girl in an Internet chat room.

The man was arrested for first-degree electronic enticement of a child.
