Rainbow Wahine win two games in softball tournament

Tanisha Milca hit a two-run home run and Brandi Peiler added a two-run double to lift No. 15 Hawai'i to a 4-3 victory over Southern Illinois tonight in the nightcap of the first day of the Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

In the Rainbow Wahine's first game, junior pitcher Courtney Baughman pitched a seven-hit shutout over Eastern Kentucky, 5-0.

Hawai'i improved to 15-4.

In the second game, Kate Robinson (6-3) earned the victory and Jessica Morton earned the team's first save of the year.

Robinson hit a solo home run. Peiler went 3 for 3, and Katie Grimes two-run single to help lift the 'Bows over the Colonels (9-5).
