Rainbow Wahine hold off Louisiana Tech, 84-77

Freshman Keisha Kanekoa scored a career-high 24 points to lead Hawai'i to an 84-77 victory over Louisiana Tech tonight in a Western Athletic Conference women's basketball game at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Hawai'i is 12-16 overall and 6-9 in the WAC. LaTech is 14-14 and 8-7.

Kanekoa, a Honoka'a alum, was 7 of 10 from the field, including 3 of 4 in 3-point attempts and 7 of 7 from the free-throw line. She also had four assists.

Amy Kotani and Saundra Cariaga each scored 13 for the Rainbow Wahine.

Shanavia Dowdell led the Lady Techsters with 19 points.
