Folk artist applications sought for SFCA grant

The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts is now accepting applications for its Folk Arts Apprenticeship Program, which includes an accomplished folk or traditional teaching artist and an experienced apprentice.

Prospective teaching artists and apprentices must identify one another and apply together as a team to earn the grants, which range from $2,800 to $5,000.

Applicants must be legal residents of the state of Hawai'i and at least 16 years old.

The deadline is April 18.
