'CHINESE SPECTACULAR'

An extravaganza titled "Chinese Spectacular," showcasing long-lost traditions in dance and music, comes to the Blaisdell Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 21.

The production features colorful costumes, original choreography and more than 100 dancers and musicians as they tell of ancient and modern Chinese legends. The show visit 60 cities — including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and venues in Canada, Europe and Asia — this year with a schedule of more than 200 performances.

JAMMIN' APRIL 12

Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the 11th annual Jammin' Hawaiians concert, happening April 12 at the Waikiki Shell. Gates open at 4 p.m.

Among the performers: Fiji, Lukie D, Mana'o Company, 'Ekolu, O-Shen, Beach 5 and Rebel Souljahz. The concert is a benefit for Musical Youth Hawaii.
