'AINA HAINA
Peace vigil this evening marks Iraq anniversary

Advertiser Staff

A Vigil for Peace Remembering the Fifth Anniversary of the War in Iraq will be held at Calvary By The Sea beginning at 7 p.m. today.

The vigil will include a service and prayer for peace, organizers said.

The Lutheran church has previously held vigils on the anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Today's event will be the third such service.

The date of this year's vigil was chosen to coincide with the World Day of Prayer.

The Vigil for Peace is open to anyone in the community.

Calvary By The Sea is at 5339 Kalaniana'ole Highway at East Hind Drive in 'Aina Haina. Plenty of on-site and street parking is available.
