CBKB: Snow storm postpones Cincinnati-UConn game

Associated Press

HARTFORD, Conn. — A winter snow storm grounded the Cincinnati men's basketball team in Ohio, forcing the game at No. 13 Connecticut to be postponed until tomorrow.

"Cincinnati is not able to get out today," Kyle Muncy, a UConn spokesman, said Saturday.

The game has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. (Noon, Hawai'i time) tomorrow. It was slated for today.

The team is hoping for a flight later Saturday after as much as 10 inches of snow fell in Ohio overnight.

The same storm grounded the West Virginia women's team, forcing the Mountaineers to miss the annual Big East conference awards banquet in Hartford on Friday night.

The top-ranked UConn women play Sunday afternoon in a Big East tournament game in Hartford.
