Small surf dominates forecast

Advertiser Staff

Big Wave hunters can take a day off today as surf isn't expected to get any higher than 5 feet around the islands.

The latest National Weather Service surf forecast calls for a northwest swell to arrive Tuesday night and Wednesday, bringing with it surf approaching the 15-foot advisory level for northe shores. A small south swell is expected later this week.

Today, surf along north-facing shores will be 3 to 5 feet; surf along south-facing shores will be 2 to 4 feet; surf along west shores will be 1 to 3 feet and surf along east shores will be 1 to 2 feet.
