WAIPAHU
Nighttime H-1 closures this week for resurfacing

Advertiser Staff

Lanes of the H-1 Freeway in the Waikele area near the H-1/H-2 merge will be closed this week for an ongoing pavement resurfacing project.

Lanes eastbound from the Kamehameha Highway off-ramp (Exit 8A) will be closed evenings from 9 p.m. tonight to 4:30 a.m. tomorrow. Motorists are advised to use the Waikele/Waipahu off-ramp (Exit 7) or surface streets instead.

Two lanes westbound will be closed from 10 p.m. tomorrow to 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Two left lanes westbound will be closed from 10 p.m. evenings to 4:30 a.m. the following mornings Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The $4.6 million resurfacing project is expected to run through June.
