KANE'OHE
Ha'iku-Kamehameha signals being upgraded

Advertiser Staff

The traffic signal at Ha'iku Road and Kamehameha Highway is being modified and upgraded with the addition of a left-turn arrow and countdown pedestrian signals.

The $453,928 project also includes new underground conduits, traffic signal lights, pedestrian push buttons and wheelchair ramps. The fixture was last updated in 1971.

The intersection is heavily used by pedestrian traffic going to and from Windward Mall, Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center, St. Ann's School, He'eia Elementary School and King Intermediate School.
